SCHOOL DAYS!

Lyssi didn't like her 1st day of school picture, so we took a 2nd day of school picture. She looked cute both days.

Haley was so nervous for 9th grade! Haley and Lyssi tried on about 5 outfits and that is with totally picking and trying on too many outfits the night before! They had to look PERFECT for the 1st day of school. And, they did look completely cute!

This summer flew by so fast! (faster than any other summer!) I wish we had another month with the girls home. The very best thing about school starting is being back on a schedule. Lyssi and Emily thought that 11:00pm was early. They now reazlize that 5:30 comes terribly early and 11:00 is back to feeling late again.

Loren has Mrs. Hodges this year. We are so happy. She seems very sweet, and Loren has a tender heart so we have a good match. Loren was so excited for 3rd grade and a little nervous. On our way to school she said "mom, were you nervous to go to 3rd grade?" I said yes I was. She said, "mom were you nervous to write cursive and that you wouldn't get or did your teacher talk it through?" I said that my teacher talked it through. She said," mom, were you nervous that friends wouldn't be in your class and that you wouldn't have anyone to play with?" I said "Loren, you have 5 friends in your class. You play with them every day, I'm sure you will have friends to play with." She said "Mom! I'm not talking about me, I'm talking about you!"
She is so funny! She makes us laugh! My baby is in 3rd grade!

Ems started college at Weber State! Oh my! She is excited to get her real life started! We are so proud of our girls. They amaze us everyday!

Lyssi and her friends are ready for 11th grade! Why do these babies have to grow up!?!

YOUNG WOMEN'S RETREAT (I mean, Girls Camp!)

I am about a month late on this but had to add it to our blog before school starts tomorrow! Girls camp was the best! We have the coolest group of girls and they have the COOLEST leaders! We went to Scofield at a cabin. Our yw's president's family has a cabin which is bigger than our house! We are really lucky!

I feel so blessed to be able to go with my girls. I was sad that Ems grew up and didn't go. I loved spending girls camp with Lyssi and Haley.
We went to the Castle Valley Pageant. They had a lot of pioneer games and curled the girls hair with rags. They pulled honey taffey, they could milk a cow and try homemade ice cream. We had a good time. When we got home, the girls were so tired. Most of them all went to bed and a few leaders and a few girls stayed up. We played a game where you had to stand in front and sing and dance or actions w/out laughing. It was so funny and we were all pretty good.
About 3 am, we had to take some pictures before we could end our night. We laughed so hard, I almost peed my pants! Haley used to be my early to bed girl but she was a party queen!

Lyssi is amazing. She should be in the Olympics with this act!

It is so fun, to just be yourself! Haley is really at peace with the mountains! Doesn't she look like she belongs in the woods?
Lyssi entertained all of us! She can sing, dance and act! Who knew! We all love Lyss

We were pretty lucky, we got to go boating! Our bishop pulled a 3 man tube behind the boat and was a crazy man! It was a good day! Our girls had so much fun. The leaders had just as much fun!
With all of the craziness, we still squoze in meaningful activities and time to feel close to our Heavenly Father. Girls camp can always do that for us!

LOVING THE POOL

Loren and I went to the pool yesterday. It was fun. She loves to swim! Her style jumping off the diving board, it's a wonder that she hasn't been hit up to start practicing for future Olympics!
We had a fun day!

WARD CAMPOUT

Our ward camp out was great! We are not really the camping type. We don't like bugs, snakes, or dirt. That about wraps it up! But, we had a lot of fun. It is always fun being with friends. It even nicer when they are your neighbors. Other than the snake that was caught AND released by our tent, we enjoyed it all. Brennan enjoyed being with the men. Do't get me wrong, Girls! Girls! Girls! is his life but every once in a while, he needs a titch of a break. This was the perfect camp out!

Camping is perfect when you don't have to bring the food, you don't have to cook and when there are flushing toilets!

This freaks me out just a little bit! When things had settled down for the night and everyone was getting ready for bed, the kids noticed raccoons! Of course I had to run get my camera! It's hard to see the raccoon, but you can sure see his glow in the dark eyes!

The ground makes a perfect mattress! Happy Tenting!

BOSOM BUDDIES!!

Aren't they so dang cute?!

Anna is Haley's BFF! She used to live across the street from us in Clinton. When we moved to West Point, they moved to Co Springs. Their hearts nearly broke. We were all sad. We miss them so much. Anna saved her money and flew out to see us. (well- to see Haley & we are just bonus!) I wish she would have snuck Robin in her bag, that would have made me happy. She is here for 2 weeks and they have been completely thrilled! They went shopping and bought matching school clothes and have been twinners all week. I love watching them together. They are good for each other. I love seeing best friends. I think they will be best friends forever . They said that even when they are grandma's , they will be BFF'S! They will be sad on the 18th when she has to go. It tugs on my heart just thinking about it. They are so funny and we think we might just send for her things and keep her.

SUMMER OLYMPICS! BEIJING 2008!!

I love the Olympics! I can't get enough of it! I have to sit there glued to the tv although it's well past my bedtime! I get so excited I want to jump out of my skin! I can't help but get teary right along with them when I hear our Nations Athem. I can't even imagine how they feel inside. I am proud of our country and proud of all the olympians! Isn't this great?! Love it!

FUN IN IDAHO FALLS

The care ride was lots of fun. Lots of singing and lots of stops to the potty. I can't hold the Mountain Dew like I used to!

Lyssi played really hard. Their team did good until Saturday and they were done 1st game. But Lyssi played good! Their team has a lot of fun and Brennan loves being the assistant coach.

We had fun seeing all our friends in the old hood! Belnap's came to all of Lyssi's games. They have 3 boys our girls ages. They were very best buds. It's crazy to see them all grown up.
In our hotel room, we had girls sleeping everywhere! Brennan is a trooper. One bathroom and 6 girls all getting ready. Sometimes, he just has to walk away or bite his tongue right off.

We spent time with the Lott's. Ems & Ash hung out & Loren got to spend lots of time with Sara. She thought Sara was her cousin. She just loves her so much. They watched the 3-D Hannah Montanna concert. Life is good in Idaho!

We didn't want to leave, we had so much fun. The good thing about moving is you get lots of friends all over. We miss our Idaho friends!
